Players with Multiple Five-wicket Hauls in IPL

T20 is a format where batters dictate. If conditions favor them, bowlers will have a dreadful time. It is the same in the Indian Premier League (IPL) too. However, a few bowlers have managed to tame and wreak havoc on famed batting line-ups.

A five-wicket haul is considered a fantastic achievement in T20, where a bowler can only deliver a maximum of 24 balls. A few bowlers have taken multiple fifers in the IPL, which is incredible considering the Indian conditions and the format. Cricket fans find great thrill in guessing which players will likely take five-wicket hauls in IPL in various IPL bettingplatforms.

IPL Bowlers with Multiple Five-wicket Hauls

Three bowlers have taken more than one five-wicket haul in IPL. James Faulkner, representing Rajasthan Royals, was the first player to do so in the 2013 season. Four years later, Jaydev Unadkat joined the club after a five-wicket haul against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, in the 2023 season, was the latest player to take a second five wicket-haul.

James Faulkner:

Australian left-arm pacer James Faulkner had a seven-year stint in IPL between 2011 and 2017. Though he wasn’t as prolific as a few of his fellow countrymen, Faulkner is the first bowler to claim two five-wicket hauls in IPL. The Aussie’s fifers came in the 2013 season when he played for Rajasthan Royals. Both fifers came against Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Faulkner finished the season as the second-highest wicket-taker in the tournament.
